DF3000 – Drinking water disinfection for pigeon transporters.

Description

DF3000 Drinking Water Disinfection 5L Canister  for Pigeon Transporters

The Animal Welfare Transport Ordinance regulates the cleaning and hygiene conditions for transport vehicles for racing pigeons. Many pigeon breeders are resistant to the idea of adding additives to prevent the contamination of the drinking water in the pigeon transport vehicles and thus eliminate the risk of infection among the pigeons. However, new, state-of-the-art, and effective solutions exist.

In transport vehicles, homing pigeons are exposed to a high risk of infection among themselves, especially in vehicles with continuous drinking troughs. Converting these vehicles to individual troughs would certainly be worth considering and make sense. Draining the old water immediately after each flight and adding fresh drinking water to the tank only on the day of the race should be standard practice! Right?

Most bacteria are transported and distributed through water pipes. This creates a biofilm that allows bacteria and fungi to grow unchecked in the water tank and drinking troughs of transport vehicles. In technical terms, this problem is called “crowding.” The biofilm is often invisible and sometimes only detectable in a laboratory. The problems caused by biofilms in the water pipes of poultry houses are enormous. The solution to this problem is DF3000 from Dostofarm GmbH Germany.

Dostofarm GmbH is a globally active company specializing in natural and environmentally friendly solutions to problems in animal housing.

DF3000 is approved for drinking water disinfection and not only prevents biofilm formation but also eliminates existing biofilm. DF3000 is a special anolyte produced using a patented electrochemical hydrolysis process. Conventional anolyte solutions are unstable and decompose after just a few days or weeks. When filled into completely unsuitable, translucent plastic containers, the decomposition process begins within hours, forming toxic chlorates. The desired optimal effect is quickly lost. Furthermore, conventional anolyte solutions often have a significantly elevated salt content due to outdated production techniques.

This also means the animals ingest more salt than they should. Excessive salt levels in the drinking water lead to increased intestinal peristalsis and thus to diet-related diarrhea. The animals become thirstier due to the salt intake and drink too much water. To make matters worse, the water pipes are subject to significant corrosion caused by the old anolyte. In many larger poultry houses, this problem has led to water pipes rusting through after only a short period of using old anolyte.

For cabin vehicles with iron water tanks, plastic pipes and high-quality stainless steel drinking troughs, safety, experience and a product guarantee are essential.

DF3000 is a specialized anolyte that offers safety, experience, and a guarantee in this field. It kills bacteria, viruses, fungi, and spores, cleans drinking troughs and water tanks of biofilm, and protects racing pigeons from high germ pressure. The dreaded crowding caused by contaminated drinking water is reliably prevented. The racing pigeons receive germ-free, tasteless water and will exhibit completely normal drinking behavior.

Years of practical experience in the poultry sector clearly demonstrate this. DF3000 is tasteless, pH-neutral, and non-corrosive; it does not place any additional strain on pipes or drinking troughs. DF3000 is manufactured by a certified producer under ISO conditions using multi-chamber electrolysis cells with a unique flow pattern, developed and patented in Western Europe.

Since 2014, all drinking water disinfection products have been required to have European approval. At that point, it will become clear where state-of-the-art technologies are being used to produce specialized anolyte solutions, and where this is not the case. The countdown is on, and quality still prevails.

Dosage

For transport managers who wish to use drinking water disinfection products, the following should be observed during initial application: It is recommended to first thoroughly clean the water tank and its drinking troughs to kill any biofilm. This is very easy to do by adding two liters of DF3000 to 200 liters of water in the tank. Then simply run the pumps and fill all the drinking troughs with water. Let the drinking troughs stand full of water for one hour and then repeat the process. After this, the tank and drinking troughs will be clean and germ-free.

For further use, one liter of DF3000 is sufficient for 200 liters of water. This dosage can also be added to the drinking water in the cabin express train on weekends.
